Here’s a gorgeous bird, full of handsome plumage and possessing a pretty amazing vocal range which he uses to lure in his potential female companions. He illustrates his wide experience with the world as his sounds go from great and pretty mimes of the local birds to the sound of camera shutters being clicked to those – and I’m serious – of chain saws.

Here are a few interesting videos of lightning strikes – Mother Nature’s Prime Time Light Show. Fun to watch from a distance, no one wants to be that golfer in the Southern United States who has been struck 7 times. Evidently, he has a hard time making up a group when there are clouds around!
This is some splendid footage of an electrical storm in Chicago, Illinois, striking some of the world’s tallest buildings.
In this one, lightning strikes the CN Tower in Toronto, Ontario, Canada numerous times. Awesome footage.

The Mekong River is no stranger to some American guys who spent time there under not ideal circumstances. But it is and always has been an important river in this world. Here, in this great Nature series, we find ourselves involved with a man who is trying to preserve this gigantic fish and we get a look at his progress. This fish is amazing – huge – up to 600 pounds huge (250Kg). Here is a bit on the man, his children’s book on this amazing catfish and a study of human inroads into Nature and what we try to do to lessen the strain..

It was merely a matter of time in the ongoing “made hoops” game of Impossible Shots in basketball would roam skywards. This epic trick shot was devised by engineering students at Texas A & M in the USA, using a series of cones in a field. They have since repeated the shot on national TV’s Morning Show. The feat was also picked up by GMC Motors who thought enough of it to feature these guys in a commercial, bit it’s all 100% real. Fun stuff and they deserve all the accolades given out. But let’s face it – who else has the time?
